Everyone goes through difficult and trying times. Unfortunately, there are shady readers that will take advantage of clients that are coming to them to help them solve negative and stressful situations they are in. They will tell them that the reason they are going through a hard time is due to the fact that they are cursed.

Next, they offer the clients to do spell work to remove the curse for a lot more money. A good reader will never tell anyone that they are struggling due to a curse.

Intimidating and condescending

Some tarot readers are more reserved than others and maybe a little less personable as a result. However, a good reader will never talk down at a client and purposely intimidate them. A reader who does this may be skilled at what they do. However, if they are condescending and insulting to the client, then that makes them a poor reader.

If one receives a reading from a tarot reader/coach that makes them feel worse at the end, regardless of what the cards said, then that means that the tarot reader should be avoided at all costs.

States everything is set in stone

Does everyone have free will and in control of their destiny or is it fate? Whatever the tarot reader believes, a good tarot reader will never do is tell the client that a certain outcome that was revealed based on the spread of the tarot cards will be set in stone.

A reader that tells a client that they don't have any control over what happens to them is not an ethical and credible practitioner.

Only says what the clients wants to hear

Everyone wants everything to turn out perfectly, and for wishes to come true, and to have a tarot reader confirm that. But not every reading is going to be great and positive. What people really want to hear is the truth, even if it wasn´t what they hoped for. A good tarot reader will deliver the unpleasant truth in an ethical way.

However, a tarot reader that constantly delivers news that seems too good to be true is a red flag.

The reader can´t really read the cards

​

It would be a big let down if the tarot reader/coach someone hired to give them a tarot reading had no idea what they were doing. This would be a tarot reader that would pull the cards for the client and scratch their heads trying to figure out what the message was. Then they would pull out a book for looking up the meanings of each of the cards.

This is one of the reasons that it is important to know how long a reader has been reading the tarot. Someone who developed an interest in the craft last week should not be doing professional readings.
